I just wanted to let you know that I will have some openings in my research group for the fall.  I think you all know that my research investigates the prenatal and postnatal consequences of drugs of abuse on behavior using the chicken model.  If you think you might be interested in working in my lab please let me know, so we can get together and talk about it.

MY PROFESSOR WANTS TO HELP ME HELP WITH HIS RESEARCH… INJECTING BABY CHICKENS WITH METH.

Sometimes I think, “Oh, I should double major” and then I think “Oh, I should just throw myself off this building instead”

I haven’t skipped a class this entire semester.

And as far as I know, I’m getting an A or an A- in all of my classes.

So… I need help.

Most of you probably saw my post earlier about my being on the East Coast, the power-less thing, and we’ve JUST gotten it back tonight, yay power, etc etc, I’m overjoyed, I really really am. But I need to get real, and I need to get real fast.

Here’s the problem. We lost a lot…

SELF ESTEEM TEST TUMBLR LOOK

78/100

Your results indicate that your sense of self-worth is fairly healthy. You rarely put yourself down or fall victim to self-depreciating statements. There are certain attitudes and beliefs that have been found to contribute to and “feed” a positive self-image, and you appear to have many of them. Examples would be believing that you deserve to be loved or respected, believing that you’re good enough for someone, and focusing on your good qualities rather than only your perceived faults. While you may not necessarily feel all of these things all of the time, your opinion of yourself is generally quite positive. This is a healthy attitude to have, as a poor sense of self-worth can hold you back from pursuing your goals, cause you unnecessary stress, and even become self-fulfilling prophecies.

This wouldn’t have been the case about a year ago, but I am very grateful for the change, and feel infinitely better for it.
